One of my Bridgwater Circle series from the Bolts & fixings set. This golden button bolt is found on a black formed plastic textured bench in the old Holy Trinity Church garden, at the end of Taunton Road leading into St Mary’s Street, Bridgwater, Somerset. Sitting in the remains of an old church site, the church having been demolished in 1958 to be re-built in 1961 further south at Hamp.
Situated in a wall enclosed tree lined mini park with a path around with a few scattered headstones, this seat can be found quietly sitting at the back under the trees, rarely occupied. I liked the spiral in the middle of the gold button fixing in the sombre black shiny plastic formed bench which reflected blues, greens and deep reds. On the imitation natural texture, it fitted well with the atmosphere.
