Rhode Rings

One of my Bridgwater Circle series of paintings photo captured while walking down Rhode Lane, Bridgwater, Somerset. An interesting structure caught my eye with its metal rings in pealing green paint overlooking some very brightly painted pavement near the shops.
The photo was taken through one of the rings, revealing three more rings on the other side, like portals to another magical, colourful land. Even the block work paving added its own colour and texture in the sunshine. Fantastic contrast between the green paintwork of the rings and the overall orange glow created by the brickwork and decorative paintwork, with just a touch of Blue and yellow.
