Post painting of an image captured on Rhode lane from the Bridgwater Circle series of paintings. A colourful set of posts near the shops on Rhode lane, picture taken looking down on the shaped weathered tops.
The photograph brought out the grain, making an attractive pattern, particularly on the more pointed post but also showing off the rings on the two lower posts next to it. I worked on bringing out the colours in this almost rainbow kaleidoscope of an image. I enjoyed drawing it up and painting the many layered multitude of colours. Furthermore, I have called it post Prachi in recognition of my colleague’s lock-down mandala dot painting session demonstration, as her enthusiasm and influence shows in this painting.
