Pipe Chain

A small painting from the Bridgwater Circle series of paintings photo, captured while walking near the Great Escape, Bridgwater, Somerset. A metal post, one of many, with chain running through metal circles welded on to create a barrier and to section off a parking area.
The photo, not a pipe dream, captured the practical solution but as I worked on it, bringing out its colours, the dull grey turned to a sky blue, contrasting with the rust oranges deep shadows and sunshine yellow reflections giving the picture a somewhat Mediterranean look while evoking the chains of love that connect us.
