Kirsty’s Lace

This is one of the Bridgwater Circle paintings. This pretty grill on Castle Street near King Square Bridgwater, Somerset was spotted by my good friend Kirsty. She saw it and took a picture on her phone and sent it to me. A very ornate large grill, one of several on a big house overlooking the square. Following Kirsty’s directions, I walked around the area taking pictures for my Bridgwater circle series.
A lovely example of our Victorian past – utility combined with beauty, that’s the charm of our period features.
